Complimentary Fourth Trimester Check-Up

A 15-minute mental health check-up via video call for parents within the first 12 weeks after birth. The appointment will consist of a mini-assessment of how you are coping with the addition of a new baby.
When you book a check-up, you will be asked to complete a mental health screener. Recommendations will be provided at the end of the check-up.
Some topics that will be discussed:
  • Fertility journey
  • Birth story
  • Feeding experience
  • Support network
  • Self-care
  • Mood
  • Current and future worries

Why is a mental health check-up important for parents?

Newborns will have numerous “well-baby” visits to make sure that they are healthy and developing. Mom will have 1 appointment 6-weeks postpartum for the physical “all-clear” for sex and exercise.
But who is checking in on mom and/or dad’s mental health? We are here to ensure that parents are screened for postpartum mood and anxiety disorders. We want to make sure you know where to go if you are not feeling like yourself and need extra support.

When can you book?

Anytime in those first 12 weeks postpartum, whether it’s your first child or not. You can book in advance or last minute—whatever works best for you.
Use our booking system to check availability, or send an email to sarah@evamentalhealth.com.
